NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
What it is
MCC++ is a hobby re-implementation of a Minecraft: Java Edition compatible client in C++, written for practice, fun and private study - mainly to explore how far the game can be optimized (memory use, CPU use, far view distance). It is used by its author and a few friends on this server. It is not sold, not published and has no payments of any kind.
Launcher and sign-in
Every player must own Minecraft: Java Edition. The launcher (in development; until then the open-source Prism Launcher is used) lets players sign in with their own Microsoft account (device-code flow, public client, no client secret) only to verify that ownership and to join online-mode servers with their own profile, skin and secure chat - the same way the official launcher and established third-party launchers do.
Privacy
- Sign-in tokens are only sent to Microsoft / Mojang endpoints and never shared. By default they are kept in memory only. If a player ticks "Stay signed in on this computer", the launcher saves the Microsoft refresh token (never the password) on that player's own PC, encrypted with Windows DPAPI so only that Windows user can read it; "Sign out" deletes it.
- No analytics, no tracking, no ads. This web page keeps only standard web server logs (IP addresses) to run and protect it; they are never sold or shared.
- Game files (textures, sounds, ...) come from Mojang's own servers or the player's own installation; this project does not redistribute any Mojang assets.
Distribution
- MCC++ is not publicly distributed. There are no downloads, no public repository and no builds available anywhere.
- It exists for its author's personal use, study and private testing with a few friends who own Minecraft: Java Edition.
- It is never sold, and no Mojang game files are bundled with it.
